Our wedding will take place in Kasteel Woerden, which is located in the heart of Woerden and dates back to the 15th century. Built by the Bishop of Utrecht, it originally served as a defense against hostile forces. Over the centuries, the castle played key roles in various military conflicts, including the Eighty Years’ War. Eventually, it was transformed from a fortress into a stately residence. Today, Kasteel Woerden stands as a well-preserved historic monument and a popular venue for events, such as weddings. Its beautiful architecture and rich history offer a picturesque setting, blending medieval charm with modern elegance.
